Something for Everyone at The Starboard

The Starboard Restaurant in Dewey Beach is known not only for their fabulous breakfasts, but for their colossal bloody mary bar and throwing some of the quirkiest parties along the Delaware Coast. When it comes to entertaining customers, Steve “Monty” Montgomery knows that quality and diversity are really important. Simply put: there is something for everyone at The Starboard this summer season, and it’s all about having a great time!

“We have a broad customer base, dating back decades,” says Montgomery. “So when we’re crafting our summer line up, we’re thinking of all the types of people who come through our doors, and we try to plan accordingly. Oh, and of course, everything we offer in the way of entertainment is FREE. We insist on serving the very best of products, and never charging a cover charge for our customers to come enjoy our Starboard Hospitality!”

If live music is your jam, the possibilities are ample. From regulars like Kristen and The Noise, to Johnny Phatt, Bryen O’Boyle & Just The Tip, and Lost in Paris, to the various DJs that are featured, there is always someone to provide a melody to the Starboard way of life. And they’ve got a great line up of bands that come in monthly to rock out like the 19th Street Band, Bruce in the USA, The Amish Outlaws, and The PIPS as well as National Artist, G. Love who makes a yearly stop!

If laugh-a-minute comedy is more your speed, then they’ve got that, too. Comedy Club is back starting Tuesday, June 11th, and goes on every Tuesday evening from 9-11PM through August 20th. It’s always a side-splitting good time featuring a multitude of hilarious comedians. Most all of the comedians who perform at The Starboard on Summer Tuesdays have been featured on Showtime, HBO, or Comedy Central.

Finally, if you’re the type who enjoys partying for a good cause, then The Starboard is definitely the place to flex your benevolence muscle. From the 23rd Annual Running of the Bull on June 29th, to the annual Stache Crawl July 13th, SeeShore Fest August 24th, and the Muscle Movement Foundation September 7th, there is a fundraiser each month throughout the season and it all culminates in the most personal event in October: Dewey Goes Pink, on October 5th. “We are really proud of our ability to use our business as a fundraising arm for the community,” says Montgomery, “we raise over $150,000 annually, and it stays within our communities. It’s definitely a point of pride for us.”

No matter what your style is, there is truly something for everyone at The Starboard this summer season.
