NEW YEARS EVE 2009!! - December 29th Update
Now that the crazy Holiday Season is winding down, all we have left to do is one big long weekend in Dewey Beach beginning this Wednesday. I hope that all of you that plan to be here took my advice and ordered your New Years Eve Tickets for The Starboard...as we have SOLD OUT for the 10th straight year. We will have a packed house on hand to ring in the New Year this Wednesday night along with help from LAURALEA & TRIPP FABULOUS! For those of you on your way to town, we will open our doors at 3PM on Wednesday, so you have a spot to head to when you get to town. With so many bowl games etc... on this weekend, our remote controls will be burning up trying to keep up with all the action. Tickets will be required for entry beginning at 6pm on Wednesday. We will have our Coat Check open at 6pm and a buffet with Carving stations, Crab Cakes, Shrimp, Scallops, and Pork BBQ, etc... will all be available from 6:30pm till 9:30pm. LauraLea will go on stage at 9pm. We are all stocked and ready here at The Starboard...so please drive safely and we will see you all here on Wednesday!
NEW YEARS WEEKEND SCHEDULE
We will Open on Wednesday at 3pm...with tickets required after 6pm. Then on New Years Day, Thursday...we will open up at 9am for Breakfast, Bloody Mary's, Football, and all the rest The Starboard has to offer! Then Saturday-Sunday, we will remain open to complete the weekend. Many of you have told me you were coming down for 2 nights, Wednesday and Thursday... then several that have housing are staying all weekend. OPENING WEEKEND 2009
For those of you that have not yet updated your new 2009 calendars...make sure the weekend of MARCH 19-22nd is on them for The Kick off of The Starboard's 50th Season!! We will blow it out as always, though a couple of days after St. Patty's Day, we will be celebrating with all our green here on the 19th-22nd.
DEWEY BEACH WINTER GALA
On Saturday, February 14th, 2009 along with our friends at Ruddertowne (Lighthouse, Baycenter, Crabbers Cove, and Que Pasa), we will be hosting a Dewey Beach Winter Gala, in support of our Dewey Beach Lifeguards and Police. Both of these departments are vital to our safety and well-being here in Dewey Beach, and both are facing huge budget cuts due to this recession in a town that does not charge a property tax...(This town relies primarily on transfer taxes and revenues from Parking Permits/Fines/Business Licenses) so we are looking to host this awesome event and raise money for two departments that support us huge! Tickets will go on sale right after New Years Weekend, and will be available on our Website www.TheStarboard.com The cost of a ticket will be kept low in recognition of the tough times we are living through, just $75, and the event will be a Black Tie Optional, but a jacket and tie are definitely required. Entertainment will be Jimi Smooth & Hit Time, National recording artist John Eddie, then headlining will be the Grammy Award winning TRAMMPS! The event falls on Valentine's Day this year, so quit stressing about what to do when Valentine's falls on a Saturday night, and get your tickets so we can all celebrate together in Formal while doing our part to support our much needed Police and Lifeguards!
I hope you all have a Very Happy Holiday Season, and look forward to seeing those of you that will be here this Wednesday night so we can ring in the New Year together!
