 Wow...Summer doesn't officially start for a couple more days, but it was in full swing here last weekend. Both Friday and Saturday there were lines to get in, and Sunday's Flag Day Celebration was a blast for all, add in a few clouds, it made for what felt like a mid August Sunday here at The Starboard! Thanks to all that participated in Flag Day, the Mayor led our parade up through Dewey complete with Dewey Police escorts and all. Had a couple of hundred people in the parade, then several more hundred back here at the Starboard to celebrate. Its always fun here to take our "holidays" to the next level!
The Starboard is rocking all week long while most of you are back at work. Mondays have been a surprisingly busy night so far this year, we put all of our barbacks and managers behind the bars...all of a sudden we have had hundreds of people here on Mondays. Wednesdays have long been the Hot Spot here at The Starboard with Laura Lea rocking this place. And starting this Thursday & Sunday, we get back into LIVE music each and every Thursday & Sunday night. Hopefully you will all get some time to spend here with us during the weekdays, because that is truly the most enjoyable time ever here at The Starboard!
 Always the biggest day of our week, this place is rocking bright and early each and every Sunday, serving incredible breakfasts along with World Famous Bloody Marys, Ruby Red Grapefruit Crushes, and $3 Bud Lights all day and night! DOUG SEGREE will take the stage promptly at 2pm, and rock straight through till 6pm. This Sunday we welcome over 25 NFL players and Alumni as our own Reggie Branch brings to town many of his friends and former teammates to help raise money for his Touchdowns for Kids Charity.
Please join us this Sunday night, as we have JIMI SMOOTH & THE HIT TIME on stage at 9pm to show off how much fun The Starboard can be to all of the NFL players and Alumni coming to town. The golf is on Monday, but the party is on Sunday Night...so if you are staying in town this week...please come on by for a little Jimi Smooth and watch Reggie as he is certain to do a few country songs on stage himself!
 Most of you know by now...but we have a Beautiful BRAND NEW Bethany Blues BBQ open up the highway towards Lewes...so if you are hungry while coming or going this weekend, be sure to stop up and try our 2-Time Delaware State Champion Ribs! The place is beautiful and the food is not only awesome, but very reasonably priced! You will even recognize several former Starboard employees up there if you look hard enough. Our original Bethany Blues down in Bethany Beach is also still doing very well. So whichever one you choose, I promise you won't leave hungry!

WARNING! DO NOT J-WALK.
Our five Dewey Beach Commissioners voted yesterday to DOUBLE the fines for several infractions here in our small town. Most notably was J-Walking. PLEEEEEEAAASE do not give this town any more of your hard earned money by NOT using the crosswalk. I have spoken with the other bar/restaurant owners, we are all going to really push this point through, as it is such negative image our town officials are giving our small town. I understand the public safety importance very well, I have spent a large amount of money doing all that I can as just one business owner putting up signage and trying to educate, but our town is raising the bar by DOUBLING the fines, and telling our Dewey Police to enforce it heavily. I cannot tell you how sick this makes me, so please just be smart, and USE THE CROSSWALKS so that this does not turn into yet another money making scheme on their behalf! Fines were also doubled on Alcohol in public, amongst other alcohol related infractions. So after paying $200 for your parking permit, and $50 for any parking fine...just be careful NOT to get yourself into a situation where you have a Dewey Seasonal hitting you up for more money! Thanks for your understanding, trust me...most of us ARE very happy to have you all here having fun in this great beach town!
