You can smell summer in the air here in Dewey Beach! Hopefully you are getting prepared for a fantastic season about to begin with plans of being in Dewey often this summer! We are ready on our end, the weather is improving each and every week, and the crowds have grown over the past few weeks as its time to get your houses open and enjoy the beach! Each weekend more and more businesses are getting opened as the streets are starting to fill up. In her TENTH summer of 'Starboard Wednesdays'... LauraLea is back on stage each and every Wednesday night throughout the summer season. She started back a few weeks ago acoustically, now welcomes back the entire band for each Wednesday the rest of the season. Whether you live here, will vacation during the week, or are finishing up the semester about to head to Dewey for your summer... we look forward to you being a part of Starboard Wednesdays with LauraLea & Tripp Fabulous all summer long!

Every week someone tells me they met 'At The Starboard'... with so many couples formed due to them meeting here in Dewey, we developed a fun section on our website for those couples (still together of course) that have met at The Starboard. We call it The Starboard Love Connection. In hopes that in the near future we can host a Starboard reunion of couples that met here, this is a fun way to share your story and read about how many happy couples hold The Starboard near to their hearts for assisting in bringing them together. This Thursday at The Front Page on Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, I will be there along with whichever bar staff I can drag into town for a night to hand out our Starboard VIP Cards to any and all that live in this area and have not yet gotten your 2011 cards. Whether you get one from me, DJ Smoky, or any of our staff in attendance, we will be there from 8pm-11pm on Thursday with plenty of cards for all that can make it. Would love to see you and all those Starboard VIP's that live in the Arlington/DC area this Thursday for an early summer night out while you have us on 'your turf!' The Front Page is offering our famous Starboard Orange and Grapefruit crushes, you can enjoy those any and every time you stop by!
I have not forgotten those of you that live in Baltimore, Steve Roop of Portside will also have a bulk of Starboard 2011 VIP Cards this weekend for you to stop in and pick yours up. Either see Steve or one of his bar staff over the next couple of weeks as they will have cards for those of you that live up that way. Portside is where the Crushes started in our little restaurant family, you can, of course, enjoy a large 16oz crush there any time!
