Dress Rehearsal for Memorial Day Weekend!

This coming weekend, always one of my favorites as every place in town is open, geared up, and ready for the summer season... which officially starts in just over one week! The Starboard has moved to our full time 7 day a week schedule, open at 8am daily now through mid-September! We have a full slate of entertainment ready for the season, we are spending countless hours this week gearing up for next weekend's huge Memorial Day.

Most all of you by now are ready for the summer in Dewey with your 2010 VIP card. In addition to the normal VIP card we have been using for 20+ years, we have added our new Starboard Insider VIP program. Those of you that wish to enjoy the ultimate in Starboard VIP access... this card is still available for registration and purchase. Our Starboard Insider VIP program is available on-line, the program costs $49 for the year, and includes an all access pass to either our standard VIP door, or our new Insider VIP door on the north end of the building. This access point will be strictly for Insiders and in use at times when even our normal VIP entrance is not available due to dining service... such as Memorial Day Sunday morning! All Insider VIPs receive a Starboard New Year's Eve ticket (valued at $30), 15% off all purchases from either of our stores, and priority seating during our hectic breakfast hours! To guarantee delivery before you come for Memorial Day, our last day to ship prior to Memorial Day will be Monday, May 24th.

OCEAN 98's BLOODY MARY CONTEST THIS SUNDAY!

BLOODYS, BLOODYS, BLOODYS! Please stop by and participate (and vote Starboard of course) this Sunday as we host Ocean 98's Annual Bloody Mary Contest. As the winner of this the past two years, we get the honor of hosting this contest over our friends across state lines down in Maryland. Everyone understands we know a little something about Bloody Marys up this way... hence the two-time championship!

Here's how it works: this Sunday we have 20 teams from Maryland and Delaware competing for the win. At 12 Noon, we welcome all of you (up to first 300 anyway) to come be a part of the judging. For a minimal fee of $5 per person, you can taste each of the different Bloody Mary entries.

This entire event as well as the money raised from the entry is yet another charitable event we do here, this time benefiting the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. This week we hosted our Annual Starboard Golf Outing -- raising close to $2000 for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition -- so this Sunday we will add to that pot to help out this local organization as they do an awesome job right here inside our own state of Delaware helping all those with Breast Cancer related problems.

Please stop by this Sunday, support Team Starboard of course as we will bring out our secret recipe, and taste away a bunch of Bloody Marys as the entire deal is not only fun, but for a great cause! Thank you!
